Crafted from alder logs left over from the "log rolling" event of the world championship Albany Timber Carnival. The posts were milled on a restored circular sawmill that dated 1902. The mill was found overgrown in the Santiam Canyon near Gates, Oregon. The seat and back are high mountain juniper taken from the Diamond C Ranch near Twickenham, Oregon. The puzzle-worked back is an outline of Oregon's famed Mt. Hood. The log supports are hand peeled lodgepole pine that came from the Crane Flats area near the historic town of Granite, Oregon. The plugs are solid hickory. |
