The top is a solid oak slab that came from a storm toppled tree on my place southeast of Albany, Oregon.

The log cross supports are hand peeled lodgepole pine collected from the Olive Lake area near the historic town of Granite, Oregon.

The legs on this bench are

very historic.

These old growth fir boards (dating from the early 1900's) came from a tunnel snow shed on the former Southern Pacific Railroad going under the west side of the famous Donner Pass in the Sierra-Nevada Mountains!..... Located about 40 miles west of Reno, Nevada.

The wood legs are "blackened" from years of diesel smoke.
